Job Description:

We are seeking an Apprentice Service Technician to join our team. As an Apprentice Service Technician, you will play a key role in helping and performing startup, service, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment and HVAC systems according to LONG service procedures. You will work under the direction of Journeyman Service Technicians and Project Managers to perform maintenance on equipment throughout the area while providing excellent customer service and solutions to issues.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the startup, service, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment and HVAC systems according to service procedures.

• Collaborate with experienced technicians to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks.

• Develop strong relationships with customers, technicians, dispatch, sales, and management to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation of work completed, including required paperwork.

• Utilize a variety of hand tools to troubleshoot, repair, and install HVAC equipment and systems.

Requirements:

• 1 year of HVAC trade school or 1 year of mechanical and/or electrical work experience.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent customer service skills.

• Ability to work after-hours when needed and drive a company vehicle safely and legally.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel) and able to learn additional computer software quickly.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to obtain a valid CFC Refrigeration certificate within 30 days after first day of employment.

Physical Requirements:

• This position includes sitting, lifting, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.

• Climbing ladders, working in mechanical rooms, and on roofs may be required.

• Lifting up to 50 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor may be necessary.

Environment:

• Indoors and outdoors environment

• Hazards: High, precarious places, inclement weather
