Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Executive Director to join our team at the Department of the Navy. As a key member of our leadership team, you will provide strategic advice and guidance to the Commanding Officer on matters related to Fleet and Marine forces support, analysis, doctrine, and assessment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional and technical advice to the Commanding Officer on strategic management of workforce planning, budget, services, and operations.
  • Direct and manage the work of eight Directorate/Branch heads, encompassing administration, supply, logistics, communications, LVC, exercises, training, and finances.
  • Develop and recommend changes to the Command's administrative policies and procedures to improve operations.
  • Collaborate and plan with other managers and personnel to negotiate, decide on, and coordinate organizational operations.
  • Review financial and budgetary programs for potential over-obligation, low fund utilization, and resource requirements.
Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance.
  • Must be willing and able to perform temporary duty at locations other than the permanent duty station.
Qualifications
  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Experience in strategic planning, operations management, and leadership.
  • Knowledge of Fleet and Marine forces support, analysis, doctrine, and assessment.
  • Ability to provide professional and technical advice to senior leaders.
