Allina Health is a leading healthcare provider in Minnesota and western Wisconsin, dedicated to delivering exceptional care to individuals, families, and communities. We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare surgical instruments for sterilization, ensuring they are clean and free of foreign matter.
- Operate sterilizers safely, documenting loads according to standards.
- Process and interpret biological controls and tests per guidelines, documenting for each procedure.
- Provide support for Case Carts, Sterile Core, and other areas as assigned.
- Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required principle competencies.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Experience in Sterile Processing or Vocational/Technical training/education in Instrument Specialist, Central Supply, or Surgical Technology.
- Must meet at least one of the following certification requirements: Certification from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) within 18 months of hire or Certified Registered Central Service Tech (CRCST) Certification within 18 months of hire.
This role requires medium work, with lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently.
