RN - Medical/Surgical Progressive Care Specialist (Sunnyside / 36 Hr / Nights)

As a skilled Registered Nurse in our Medical/Surgical Progressive Care unit, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. Working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, you will utilize your clinical judgment and expertise to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, identifying biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, education needs, and discharge planning needs.
- Develop individualized nursing plans of care, taking into account the developmental needs of each patient.
- Coordinate patient care activities and discharge planning with other hospital and clinic departments, as well as community agencies.
- Implement evidence-based practices and protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and make adjustments as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience.
- One (1) year of current telemetry inpatient experience.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided).
- Basic Life Support.
- NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 3 months of hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous health care experience.
- Bachelors degree in nursing or related field.
- One (1) year current experience in progressive or intermediate care unit.
- Recent experience with respiratory compromised patients, including long term ventilation, tracheostomy, high flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP.
- Recent attendance of Rhythm Recognition class or passing grade on Rhythm Recognition test.
- PCCN / CCRN Certification.
