About the Role
The Production Engineer is a key member of a cross-functional team responsible for driving operational excellence in our manufacturing processes. In this role, you will play a critical part in securing assembly processes and performance, and implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and productivity.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement assembly processes to meet manufacturing targets using Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Create and maintain work instructions, determine manpower levels, and provide line support and service to production.
- Industrialize new product and process changes according to project gate plan deliverables with a zero-disturbance mindset.
- Determine assembly sequence, time standards, line balancing, station design, and tooling requirements.
- Lead continuous improvement activities focused on ergonomics, cost efficiency, productivity, and performance.
- Implement Industry 4.0 technologies with flexibility for product and volume changes.
Critical Competencies and Experience
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual who is passionate about driving operational excellence and improving manufacturing processes. You will work closely with production technicians to tackle challenges and improve the assembly process. You will be a role model for inclusion and diversity, and your actions will help keep the organization healthy and in balance.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a technical manufacturing role.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
