About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sprinkler Service Technician to join our team at Johnson Controls. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and residential applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive service calls from our Service Resource Center and contact customers to diagnose equipment/system problems.
  • Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems, including wet, dry, pre-action, deluge, and fire pumps.
  • Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, and operational product manuals.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills and communicate effectively with customers and district staff.
  • Electronically complete Service Acknowledgements and obtain customer signatures.
  • Participate in a scheduled On-call rotation and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 5 years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of performing physical labor, including carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer requirements.
  • Able to participate in an on-call rotation schedule and overnight travel may be required.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service and maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills, positive attitude, and ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
  • Must possess and retain current State Fire Protection License or Journeyman License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Backflow, fire pumps, underground, overhead, and standpipe license.
Compensation and Benefits

This position includes a competitive hourly rate of $30-50 per hour, depending on education, experience, and certifications. A comprehensive benefits package is also offered, including 401K, medical, dental, and vision care.
