About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Hinsdale. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in the laboratory process, responsible for collecting blood samples and processing specimens for testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients using standard venipuncture and microtainer techniques
  • Receive and process laboratory specimens, ensuring accurate labeling and ordering
  • Prioritize routine specimen receipt and stat/alert specimens in the laboratory
  • Follow safety policies, including proper use of PPE, handwashing, and hazardous chemical handling
  • Transport hazardous waste and complete training on proper handling and disposal
Requirements
  • High School degree or equivalent
  • One year of hospital-based phlebotomy experience
  • Completion of a phlebotomy training program (preferred)
