Position Overview: The Supportive Care Specialist plays a vital role in delivering a variety of assistance services to individuals within their residences and community environments. Our clients benefit from an array of programs, including senior support (companionship, homemaking, personal care assistance), mental health recovery support, and in-home aid for those with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in meaningful conversations with clients, offering support, companionship, and essential resources for daily living.
- Develop and nurture a positive and supportive rapport with participants through effective communication techniques.
- Guide and assist individuals in achieving their designated recovery plan objectives.
- Maintain ongoing communication with immediate supervisors and agency representatives through daily progress documentation.
- Utilize personal vehicle or public transport to accompany clients to medical appointments or various social engagements as outlined in their recovery plans.
- Perform light housekeeping duties as required.
- Demonstrate the ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in healthcare providing direct support, or a strong background in customer service.
- Dependable and responsible individuals with a genuine passion for assisting others.
- Access to reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and current automobile insurance.
