Job Summary

The Quality Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the quality of parts produced within our facility. This position is responsible for verifying quality checks and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify that machinists conduct required inspections and maintain quality systems.
  • Perform first-piece layout and maintain records of OVL checks.
  • Conduct random audits of all departments to ensure compliance with the control plan.
  • Collect and analyze statistical data from SPC charts.
  • Aid in training employees on proper gauging techniques and quality systems.
  • Help establish and maintain the company Quality Plan.
  • Maintain SPC charts and notify the Quality Manager of any issues.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
  • 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Understanding of Quality Systems and knowledge of measurement techniques using calipers, micrometers, and go/no gages.
  • Ability to use problem-solving techniques and IT tools, including MS Office, Excel, and other computer systems.
Working Conditions

This position is based in a manufacturing plant shop environment, with exposure to moving mechanical parts and elements such as odor, noise, dust, heat, cold, or chemicals.
