We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to lead our team in the design and development of advanced mechanical systems for our NextGen Seeker program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful completion of hardware development and meeting program milestones.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the mechanical engineering team in the design and development of the NextGen Seeker
- Collaborate with the Seeker IPT to complete seeker gimbal design
- Develop and implement Model-Based Design (MBD) to support the maturation of the JASSM's NextGen seeker
- Proficiency with Creo/CATIA V5, MBD, and Windchill
- Tolerance analysis, Line of Sight (LOS) budget management, gimbal balance, control, ICD and mass properties management experience desired
- Experience designing Opto-Mechanical Systems or Precision Mechanical System Controls (bearings, torque motors, position sensors)
- Experienced with GD&T, tolerance analyses, LOS Jitter and mass properties analysis & management
- Team leadership experience
- CATIA and Creo experience
- Experienced with Model Base Definition and Model Base Enterprise tools and processes
- Leadership experience as a Mentor and Knowledge Continuity
