We are seeking an experienced Building Products Sales Representative to join our team at JM Hunter Group.
About the Job:
This is a sales-focused role where you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers in the construction industry. You will work closely with contractors, builders, and other industry professionals to understand their needs and provide solutions using our range of building products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage product takeoffs and create estimates to meet customer needs
- Generate proposals to customers to drive sales and close deals
- Run daily meetings with construction trade professionals to build relationships and identify new opportunities
- Research and prospect for new customers via multiple sources, including email and phone
- Maintain high-level working relationships with contractor customers and monitor competitor activity
- Closing sales at a high rate while maintaining customer satisfaction
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in outside sales in the building products or related industry
- Proven track record as a sales professional balancing focus on qualifying opportunities, account development, customer relationships, and time management
- Strong public speaking, presentation, and persuasion abilities in one-on-one, small, or large group contexts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers
