Job Summary:

We are seeking an Adjunct Information Technology Instructor to teach online or in-person computer science courses at New River Community College. The successful candidate will have a master's degree in information technology or a related field, and experience in teaching and learning situations. The instructor will be responsible for preparing materials, supporting student learning, and recording and submitting grades.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach online or in-person computer science courses, including ITP 140, ITP 240, and ITP 225.
• Prepare course materials, including lesson plans and assessments.
• Support student learning through office hours, email, and online discussions.
• Record and submit grades in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Master's degree in information technology or a related field.
• Effective communication in teaching and learning situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching experience in a higher education environment.
• Experience teaching online courses.
• Experience with creating web applications.
