Dedicated Step Down Nurse Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
About the RoleThe Registered Nurse will perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act, utilizing therapeutic communication in daily practice and maintaining a safe therapeutic environment.
The ideal candidate will identify nursing problems as they relate to individual patient needs, plan individualized patient care using an interdisciplinary approach, and participate in performance improvement activities that foster the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.
Responsibilities- Perform nursing assessments, diagnosis, care planning, and implementation of treatment for assigned patients.
- Administer treatments, medications, and procedures within the scope of practice.
- Participate in coordination of care with management staff, team leaders, physicians, department staff, and ancillary services.
- Delegate duties to technical support staff while maintaining accountability of delegation.
In this role, you will be responsible for making staff assignments based on patient need, acuity, and the skill of the staff, serving as a role model and clinical resource for the team, and responding promptly to requests for information or follow-up with physician, staff, or patient issues.
RequirementsTo be successful in this position, you must have:
- A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- A current KY RN license or Compact State License in the state of residence.
- BLS certification obtained within 90 days of employment.
