Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Specialist to join our team in Charlotte, NC. As a key member of our global design team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative fiber optic hardware solutions.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field and at least 1 year of product development experience. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and iterative development of innovative fiber optic hardware solutions, creating 3D models and prototypes, and engaging in fieldwork to gather insights and improve designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement design concepts that meet project objectives and business goals.
  • Create detailed design documentation and presentation materials.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing experts and other stakeholders to ensure design intent is aligned with project requirements.
  • Educate and advise on industry best practices for Visual Language, Design Thinking, and UX/UI.
  • Execute packaging and label graphics that align with current standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of product development experience.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (experience with CREO preferred).
  • Expert proficiency in KeyShot and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles.
Work Environment

This role involves working in an office environment with regular computer and phone usage. Light physical effort, including frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials, may be required. Infrequent visits to manufacturing facilities, labs, and in the field may also be necessary.

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on experience.
