Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Neuropsychology Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will assess, diagnose, and treat individuals with complex neuro-psychological disorders, focusing on the intricate relationship between brain function and behavior.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment: Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations using standardized tests to assess cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
  • Diagnosis: Interpret assessment results to diagnose neuro-psychological conditions, including but not limited to traumatic brain injury, cognitive disorders, and dementia, learning disabilities, and attentional disorders.
  • Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient needs.
  • Intervention: Provide evidence-based interventions and therapies to enhance cognitive function and emotional well-being.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including neurologists, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and psychiatric physician assistants to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, and strategies for managing cognitive and emotional challenges.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough records of assessments, treatment plans, and patient progress.
Qualifications:
  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology (required).
  • Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy, cognitive processes, and psychological assessment methods.
  • Current licensure to practice as a therapist in the state of Illinois (required).
  • Completion of postdoctoral training in neuropsychology (required).
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a clinical mental health setting.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices and clinical protocols.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care to clients.
