Key Responsibilities- Greet guests with a smile and pleasant disposition in a timely manner.
- Must be familiar with menu, daily specials, and preparation of foods and prices.
- Use suggestive selling techniques to enhance the dining experience.
- Take customer's orders and accurately input the order into the computer.
- Observe and anticipate guest's needs, keeping table cleared between courses, and beverages filled throughout their meal.
- Present check for payment when all guests' needs have been met.
- Complete assigned side work and additional daily tasks.
- Inform immediate supervisor if situations arise with guests or fellow employees that cannot be handled directly.
- Knowledgeable of menu to include alcoholic beverages that are available.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to sustain a high level of professionalism.
- Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with guest issues.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with guests at all levels.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Two (2) years experience as a server in a dining establishment preferred.
- Food service experience.
- Outgoing personality with interest in guest hospitality.
- Knowledge of up selling techniques.
- Exceptional work habits.
