POSITION OVERVIEW:

The selected contractor will be responsible for creating visual materials including reports, infographics, presentations, brochures, and profile sheets. Collaboration will primarily occur with members of the External Affairs Division, with potential interactions with division directors, bureau chiefs, and program managers. The contractor will produce work that aligns with the initiatives of ALTSD's advertising agency. Candidates should demonstrate creativity, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining brand consistency.
  • Review existing marketing materials and printed assets, update graphic content, and distribute revised digital files in accordance with the new brand style guide within three months of its launch.
  • Create and develop graphic elements for annual reports and strategic plans.
  • Design graphic components for presentations for various committees and meetings, averaging four presentations per month.
  • Produce graphic designs for flyers, posters, postcards, brochures, invitations, digital billboards, booklets, resource guides, websites, and social media platforms, based on program needs and campaign strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal ALTSD personnel, external partners, and project-related vendors as necessary.
  • Identify gaps in graphic requirements and maintain an inventory of needs.
  • Support the agency's public relations by exhibiting courteous and cooperative behavior when engaging with constituents and internal clients, while maintaining confidentiality in all matters.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, industrial design, or a related field.
  • Five to eight years of professional experience in graphic design.
  • This role is remote, but candidates must be residents of New Mexico.
  • Applicants should possess their own computer, phone, and subscriptions to MS Office, Creative Cloud, and Canva software.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Attention to detail to ensure all specifications are met accurately.
  • Creative ability to translate simple instructions into compelling designs.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage various client demands and team projects.
  • Proficiency in popular graphic design software such as Creative Cloud and Canva.
  • Adaptability to switch between projects or adjust quickly to changing project requirements.
