New Leader Academy is seeking a highly skilled and creative Occupational Therapist to join our innovative research-based therapeutic day school. Our school is dedicated to providing the highest levels of achievement for children with special needs. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of implementing our dynamic movement-based learning model, working with students in various environments throughout the school. Our educational approach focuses on maximizing achievement in academic, sensory, and motor skills development using music, rhythm, audio, and digital technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and adapt our high-quality dynamic education program, bringing professional creativity to therapy sessions within the established framework.
  • Work directly in various environments, engaging students in therapeutic activities that promote motor skills, sensory regulation, and active participation.
  • Assess and continuously adapt physical and educational environments to meet the sensory and motor needs of students.
  • Participate in our daily data collection system, using digital tools to measure the effectiveness of therapeutic approaches and individual student development.
  • Collaborate with our team, including educators, parents, and community organizations, to enhance the therapeutic experience and ensure the integration of effective project-based learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Valid state license in Occupational Therapy.
  • Commitment to professional development and staying informed on the latest therapeutic research and practices.
  • Experience working with children with diverse behavioral responses and educational/sensory needs.
  • Flexible personality and adaptive approach to therapy, essential for navigating our dynamic environment.
