Position Overview

The Polysomnography Specialist plays a crucial role in the field of sleep medicine, focusing on comprehensive testing and analysis of sleep disorders.

Certification Requirements
  • Must hold certification from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist or an equivalent qualification.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) as per the standards set by the American Heart Association, with renewals every two years.
Job Responsibilities
  • Specializes in the area of Cardiopulmonary health.
  • Conducts detailed polysomnographic testing and analysis, along with necessary interventions, under the guidance of a clinical director or designated authority.
  • Preferred experience with the Cadwell sleep program.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree focusing on polysomnography or completion of a polysomnography program lasting at least one year from a state-licensed or nationally accredited educational institution, or equivalent experience demonstrating proficiency in all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician.
Work Schedule
  • 3 shifts of 12 hours each per week.
  • Workdays are typically Monday through Friday, resulting in a schedule of 3 to 5 days per week.
