We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team as a Vascular Access Coordinator. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing vascular access procedures and work closely with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
About the Role
As a Vascular Access Coordinator, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Obtaining necessary medical history, discussing procedure risks, and performing nursing assessments on patients.
- Providing education to patients and their families regarding post-procedure care of vascular access.
- Monitoring patient condition before, during, and after procedures, particularly those receiving moderate sedation and contrast media injections.
- Acting as a resource for patients to address concerns and questions.
- Identifying and communicating patient-related issues to facility management, as needed.
- Completing documentation of patient information from admission to discharge in an accurate manner.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- A current RN license in good standing.
- 4-6 years' experience in a related field, preferably in an Office-Based Surgical Center, Ambulatory Surgical Center, or Vascular Access environment.
- Proficient in computer software such as Microsoft Office and medical database systems.
- Certified in BLS & ACLS.
