We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Public Audit Associate to join our team at Global Placement Firm. Key Responsibilities- Conduct audits of public companies, ensuring compliance with GAAP and FASB rules and standards.
- Develop and implement audit strategies, identifying areas of risk and opportunity for improvement.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and objectives, providing tailored audit solutions.
- Lead and mentor junior team members, promoting professional growth and development.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in public accounting.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant technical / strategic accounting experience.
- Minimum 2 busy seasons in external audit with a Big 4 or large CPA Firm.
- Strong analytical, technical, and auditing skills, including proficiency in GAAP and FASB rules and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or progress towards.
- Minimum 1 busy season as a Senior in external audit with a Big 4 or large CPA Firm.
- Corporate accounting and/or finance experience at a large public corporation.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including macros and pivot tables.
