Job Title: Business Data Analyst with Property and Casualty

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Data Analyst with Property and Casualty expertise to join our team at Coforge. As a Business Data Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our business users and IT colleagues by acting as a data subject matter expert for our new data platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and document them at an appropriate level.
  • Translate business requirements into stories and tasks for development.
  • Utilize specialist knowledge and experience of business areas, products, and systems to ensure effective and innovative technical solution design.
  • Support the robust testing of changes with QA colleagues.
  • Plan and facilitate requirements elicitation sessions such as workshops and 1-to-1 interviews.
  • Conduct system prototype demonstrations to validate requirements.
  • Assist the digital product manager in facilitating the prioritization of business requirements.

Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of business analysis concepts, methods, and practices in an information technology environment.
  • General and London Market Insurance domain experience.
  • Experienced in defining data lineage from source systems to an Enterprise Data Warehouse.
  • Solid understanding of agile delivery methodologies.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence others to improve processes and application quality.

Nice to Have:

  • Greenfield Data Warehouse build experience highly desirable.
  • Some experience using JIRA or similar agile tools.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and ability to use SQL tools to query a database to retrieve data.
