About the Role

The Sports Coordinator is a key member of our team at i9 Sports - N. Harford and Cecil Counties, MD. This role is responsible for delivering an exceptional sports experience for our players and coaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach Empowerment: Work closely with volunteer coaches to develop and deliver engaging practice sessions that focus on fundamental skills, skill development, and most importantly, fun.
  • Sportsmanship Values: Teach and demonstrate core sportsmanship values to our players, emphasizing the importance of respect, fair play, and good sportsmanship.
  • Game Day Operations: Oversee the overall operation of designated sports on game days, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • Customer Service: Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and provide superior customer service skills to our players, parents, and coaches.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with players, parents, coaches, and staff.
  • Coaching Experience: Prior coaching experience and knowledge of sports fundamentals.
  • Independence and Motivation: Highly motivated self-starter who can work independently and take charge of situations as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relationship Building: Strong ability to build professional relationships with players, parents, coaches, and staff.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends, for the duration of the season.
