Job Title: Fire Safety Access Control Specialist

About the Role:

Pye-Barker Fire and Safety is seeking a highly skilled Fire Safety Access Control Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for servicing, installing, maintaining, and inspecting access control systems, including gate access systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Estimator Manager on access control bidding as needed.
  • Install, dismantle, and reconstruct access and security systems or devices, and program equipment as required by customers or the company.
  • Conduct testing and inspection of systems under maintenance agreement.
  • Respond to and complete system troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Make connections and required adjustments as directed, test operation of all components of each system.
  • Conduct site surveys upon request of management.
  • Keep manuals and all details up to date as changes are advised.
  • Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material to management.
  • Communicate with customers on job status or completion (installation or service).
  • Write service and status reports.
  • Submit complete and accurate paperwork in a timely manner. Obtain proper signatures. Accurately record travel and service times, timesheets, identify warranties, changes and code issues and provide accurate descriptions.
  • Ability to work independently on customer sites.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • A high school education or equivalent required.
  • Access Control knowledge and experience is required.
  • Some technical school training is a plus.
  • Computer experience in Microsoft applications necessary.
  • NICET Certifications a Plus.
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools.
  • Ability to always operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.
