Job Summary:
Lewiston Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to support the delivery of educational services to students with special needs. As a Special Education Resource Room Ed Tech II/III, you will work closely with the Special Education Teacher to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Positive Behavioral Support Plans (PBSPs) in our RISE/Day Treatment programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Special Education Teacher in developing and implementing educational programs tailored to the needs of students with special needs.
- Support the delivery of educational services, including instruction, assessment, and progress monitoring.
- Collaborate with the Special Education Teacher to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure seamless support and services.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in special education.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in special education or related field preferred.
- Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
