GENERAL OVERVIEW

The Revenue Cycle Analyst plays a crucial role in overseeing the charge capture mechanism and pinpointing discrepancies and opportunities for enhancement within the Mid-Revenue Cycle. This position is integral to the revenue cycle operations, charge capture, and management of work queues. The Analyst will contribute to the optimization of the Revenue Cycle by assessing, validating, and analyzing data for presentation to various organizational levels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

  • Oversees scheduling and revenue documentation to guarantee timely and accurate charge entries
  • Detects unrecorded charges and ensures their correct posting
  • Investigates root causes for delayed charges and financial write-offs
  • Collaborates with teams to enact corrective measures for compliant charge entries
  • Engages in the resolution of revenue-related challenges
  • Formulates and proposes enhancements to existing processes

CERTIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred: Certification in Coding and/or Physician Billing

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Demonstrates awareness of business implications
  • Exemplary customer service capabilities
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and coding practices
  • Proficient in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical acumen and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one year of experience in revenue cycle management within a medical practice
  • Experience in Urology or a medical practice setting is preferred
