About Us

The Kartrite Resort and Indoor Waterpark is a luxury lodge experience that offers an unforgettable adventure for families of all ages. We are seeking a highly motivated and engaged team member to join our Human Resources department as a Human Resources Coordinator.

Job Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for conducting day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department, including greeting internal and external guests, administering company benefits programs, and conducting enrollments. This role will also involve assisting associates with requests and information, and troubleshooting problems in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Associate Support: Assist associates with requests and information, and address concerns in a timely manner.
  • Recruiting and Interviewing: Assist in the recruiting, screening, and interviewing process for all management and non-management hotel positions.
  • HR Administration: Maintain accurate and updated department and associate files, and distribute paychecks as needed.
  • Benefits Administration: Explain elements of various benefits to associates, and assist with enrollment and claims processing.
  • Employee Relations: Assist with associate relations events and recognition, and process benefits enrollments and other functions electronically.
  • Job Requisitions: Monitor and update job requisitions, and communicate hotel job openings internally and externally.
  • Pre-Selection Activities: Coordinate all pre-selection activities, including drug testing and reference checks, to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Transfer Requests: Process all transfer requests in a timely manner.
  • Applicant Communication: Respond to all interviewed applicants via telephone or letter within the required time frame.
  • Goal Achievement: Assist the Director of Human Resources or Human Resources Manager in achieving goals and objectives as identified in the hotel's annual Affirmative Action Plan (AAP).
  • Wage and Benefits Administration: Control the administration of wages and benefits to ensure accurate and equitable application.
  • Correspondence and Memos: Prepare correspondence and memos as needed.
  • Applicant Flow Log/Data: Maintain applicant flow log/data.
  • Employment Eligibility: Ensure all new hires and existing associates possess proper employment eligibility verifications.
  • Attendance and Availability: Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Hotel experience preferred.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of hotel operations, including marketing plans, security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, preparation of business plans, repairs, maintenance, budget forecasting, quality assurance programs, hospitality law, and long-range planning.
  • Leadership Skills: Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff, and ensure accomplishment of goals.
  • Communication Skills: Written communication skills to be concise, well-organized, complete, and clear.
  • Time Management: Ability to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Effective verbal and written communication skills, and ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences.
