Salary Information

We offer an attractive salary package to our Charge Nurse RN Med Surg Oncology team members, with an estimated annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $120,000 based on experience and qualifications.

About the Role

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) plays a crucial role in ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. As a CNC, you will be responsible for assisting with admission and discharge processes, participating in ongoing assessments of patient care services, collaborating with subject matter experts and other managers to create a teamwork environment, and supporting staff development and training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care
  • Participate in ongoing assessments of patient care services in collaboration with other members of the management team
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary
  • Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines
  • Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Current State of Florida Registered RN License or recognized Compact Licensure
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification via American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • A minimum of one year acute care Medical/Surgical/Tele RN experience
  • One or more years working as Charge Nurse in Acute Care Hospital
