Job Title: Part-Time University Supervisor

We are seeking a highly qualified Part-Time University Supervisor to join our team at California State University. As a University Supervisor, you will play a critical role in the preparation of K-12 educators, working closely with cooperating teachers, school administrators, and teacher candidates.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships among cooperating teachers, school administrators, and teacher candidates.
  • Make observations and evaluations of teacher candidates, providing feedback and guidance to support their growth and development.
  • Assist teacher candidates and cooperating teachers in addressing any challenges or issues that may arise during the clinical experience.
  • Assign and submit grades for clinical experience, ensuring accurate and timely evaluation.
  • Participate in annual professional development to stay current with best practices and industry trends.
Requirements:
  • Credential or equivalent experience in educator preparation, with expertise in the content area of the teacher candidate being supervised.
  • For the Educational Leadership and Administration Program, a Master's degree in Educational Leadership or a closely related field, possession of or eligibility for the CA Administrative Services credential, and five years of experience as a K-12 school administrator.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher in Education or a related discipline.
  • For the Educational Leadership and Administration Program, a doctoral degree is preferred.
