System Administrator Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience supporting Windows System platforms, MS Office 365 Suite, and OneDrive desktop app, preferably with an MSP background.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support our hybrid Azure environment, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Assist in the implementation and management of our Intune environment.
  • Perform systems maintenance tasks, such as system backup, recovery, and file maintenance.
  • Evaluate and optimize our organization's network and system performance needs.
  • Install operating systems and application hardware and software.
  • Support and troubleshoot MS SharePoint syncing issues.
  • Train on the organization's standard network and systems processes.
  • Work with Azure services, including managing virtual machines, storage, networking, and access controls.
  • Provide support for our infrastructure, including Sentinel One, spam filters, and Manage Engine.
  • Ensure security compliance across the IT infrastructure and contribute to compliance-related projects and audits.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures.
  • Participate in IT projects, infrastructure upgrades, and environment optimizations.
  • Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3-6 years of experience supporting Windows System platforms, MS Office 365 Suite, OneDrive desktop app, preferably with an MSP background.
  • Strong experience working in Azure portal administration, including hybrid environments.
  • Experience with Intune configuration and deployment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Sentinel One, spam filtering solutions, and Manage Engine.
  • Understanding of compliance frameworks such as CMMC, ISO, or similar.
  • Experience with implementing and maintaining security protocols in a government contracting environment is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be strong Teamwork minded with Strong documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
