Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Equipment Specialist to join our team at Stew Leonard's, a family-owned and operated fresh food store. As a Refrigeration Equipment Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the building's equipment, as directed by the Facility Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair the building's equipment, including commercial food equipment and refrigeration systems.
  • Accurately troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, and price out parts and equipment necessary for repairs.
  • Complete assigned Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks and repairs independently or as part of a team.
  • Maintain an orderly shop and general maintenance of work areas.
  • Assist with other aspects of the department as directed by the Facility Manager.

Requirements:

  • Vocational/trade school degree and/or 1-3 years of experience in equipment repair, electrical, and refrigeration.
  • Basic knowledge of trades, including equipment repair, electrical, and refrigeration.
  • Familiarity with operation of power tools, welding, and equipment such as scissor lifts.
  • Proficiency in the use of Excel, Word, and Internet research engines.
  • OSHA 10 Certification.
