We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in the Emergency Department at WakeMed. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients.
Responsibilities- Administer respiratory care services, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and mechanical ventilation, under the supervision of a physician.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory therapy plans, communicating with the healthcare team and physicians as needed.
- Support the mission, vision, and values of WakeMed in the management of patient care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- NC Respiratory Care Practitioner certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 30 days of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 30 days of hire
7am-7pm, with weekend and call requirements as needed.
