About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Packaging Engineer to join our team at Georgia-Pacific. As a subject matter expert in flexible packaging, you will be responsible for driving the design, formulation, and application of flexible packaging solutions for our consumer-packaged goods business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement flexible packaging formulations that meet our functional, performance, aesthetic, and consumer experience expectations.
- Collaborate with our supply partners to drive the development of innovative flexible packaging solutions.
- Design and implement new packaging equipment and lines that generate value and future growth opportunities.
- Lead cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and solve packaging-related production challenges.
- Drive the adoption of sustainable technologies that advance the position of Georgia-Pacific.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of related work experience in packaging engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Expertise in flexible film & paperboard packaging development.
- Knowledge of palletization & ArtiosCAD software.
- B.S. in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.
