About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Construction and Manufacturing Team at The Haskell Company. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering expertise and guidance to Project Engineers, Designers, and Design Engineers, ensuring that projects are technically sound, on schedule, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply knowledge of packaging systems to develop innovative solutions for customers.
  • Maintain knowledge of packaging equipment and innovations.
  • Lead or support the development of proposals for customers and potential customers.
  • Assume responsibility for all mechanical design details and execution for assigned projects.
  • Ensure complete and accurate design analyses/calculations, documentation of packaging system design calculations, and specifications for packaging materials and equipment.
  • Develop line layouts with designers and design engineers, and develop and implement design standards for projects.
  • Evaluate equipment requirements and ensure proper integration into packaging systems.
  • Review and analyze vendor proposals for equipment, installation services, etc.
  • Perform analysis of proposed and potential systems to present Value Engineering options to facility owners.
  • Work with automation engineers to establish a sequence of operation and control system architecture.
  • Develop and implement an acceptance test plan for equipment at the vendor's facility and for the installed system at the customer's facility.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree from an accredited four-year program.
  • Seven to fifteen years of experience in packaging and production systems and/or automated manufacturing systems.
  • Experience in the food, pharmaceutical, beverage, or consumer products industries is preferred.
  • Professional registration preferred.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in CAD is desirable.
