Job Summary

Michaels Stores is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused 5am Truck Unloader to join our team. As a 5am Truck Unloader, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service, unloading trucks, and maintaining a well-organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Unload trucks and merchandise in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist customers with shopping and provide solutions to their needs
  • Participate in store recovery and maintenance, including merchandise return and go back processes
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs
  • Interact with others in an accepting and respectful manner

Requirements
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to move throughout the store
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred

Work Environment
  • Public retail store setting
  • Climate-controlled store environment
  • Some stock rooms may not be climate-controlled
  • Some outdoor work if assigned to retrieve shopping carts or while unloading trucks
