Bartender Job Description

The Bartender at MCR Hotels is responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to our guests in a friendly, energetic, and timely manner. This role requires a passion for guest service, effective communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring a positive experience for our guests.
  • Stock and manage inventory of beverages, supplies, and garnishes.
  • Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner, promoting a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Promote and document orders for drinks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and portion control.
  • Attend monthly departmental meetings to stay informed and contribute to team discussions.
  • Process guest payments, handle cash, and verify charges.
  • Lock up and store all beverages, food, and equipment items, securing the bar area at the end of each shift.
  • Sanitize and clean the bar area, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Work effectively with the service and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service.
  • Communicate any challenges, guest complaints, or requests to supervisors and managers.
  • Observe all safety procedures during the execution of assigned duties.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards guests, co-workers, and management.
  • Arrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready to work.
Requirements:
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including shift work, weekends, and holidays.
  • Legal ability to serve alcohol in the state.
  • Knowledge of state and local guidelines regarding service of alcohol.
  • Knowledge of drink preparation, previous bartender experience preferred.
  • Computational skills to process guest payment.
  • Ability to lift trays of beverages or food items weighing up to 30 pounds regularly.
  • High energy and interpersonal skills.
