Are you passionate about art and customer service?

We are seeking a motivated Retail Art Materials Key Holder to join our team at Plaza Artist Materials in Philadelphia, PA.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with art supplies and providing excellent customer service. As a Retail Art Materials Key Holder, you will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and maintaining store inventory. You will also be accountable for opening and closing the store according to company procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date on artist supplies, creative materials, and techniques to provide expert advice to customers
  • Ensure the store is opened and closed correctly, following company procedures
  • Assist customers with purchasing decisions and special orders
  • Support inventory management by accurately labeling shelves and counting stock
  • Be aware of sales promotions and communicate them to customers
  • Handle customer transactions, including cash, credit, and debit payments
  • Process returns and exchanges, and create invoices for store charges
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and receive merchandise correctly
  • Prepare merchandising displays and maintain a professional demeanor

Qualifications:

We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, trustworthiness, and good judgment. You should be able to learn procedures quickly and follow directions with confidence. Multitasking, self-direction, and attention to detail are essential for this role.

Experience:

A background in art materials and retail sales is preferred. Merchandising experience is also beneficial.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on location and experience.
