About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Operations Engineer to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company. As a key member of our Nuclear Operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the safe and efficient operation of nuclear power plants worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with new plant designers and licensed reactor operators to define the best and safest way to operate nuclear plants.
  • Acquire knowledge about integrated plant operations to develop or update the way control room operators run plants with operating procedures.
  • Validate various scenarios in control room simulators, before they are used to train reactor operators and implemented in plants worldwide.
  • Support utility reactor operators by performing critical activities in their control rooms.
  • Design new incore instrumentation, develop and maintain testing equipment, and complete test preparation and reporting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.4.
  • Strong interest in nuclear plant operations, including students holding a Reactor Operator license at a university reactor.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or have permanent resident status.
  • Desirable experience in reactor operator license, prior professional experience, nuclear detection equipment, reactor physics and dynamics, LabVIEW software, instrumentation and control, neutron detection, and procedure writing.
