About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Public Service Faculty Position in Family and Consumer Sciences. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs in nutrition, food safety, parenting, and financial management for diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with community partners to identify needs and develop targeted programs to address them.
  • Provide leadership and training to Program Assistants and volunteers in delivering Family & Consumer Sciences programs.
  • Conduct promotional efforts to expand the public's knowledge of Extension programming.
  • Develop and present educational information targeted for different audiences, including 4-H youth development competitions and events.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, Food & Nutrition, Food Science/Safety, Child Care, Health, Human Development, Financial Management, Housing, or related area.
  • Ability to work as a team member and engage with groups and committees.
  • Skills in leadership and management, including the ability to design, coordinate, and teach educational programs to meet community needs.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable private vehicle for official duty travel.
