Responsibilities / Qualifications:
The Hospital Manager oversees all operational and personnel management aspects within our fast-paced, multi-doctor veterinary practice.
The primary responsibilities of the Hospital Manager include business and P&L management, HR functions such as hiring, training, performance management, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures that promote safe and efficient practices within the hospital.
The key functions of the Hospital Manager include:
Creating and fostering a healthy and engaged hospital culture.
Effectively managing all aspects of team development, from onboarding to ongoing career advancement of our valued staff.
Supporting the needs of the veterinarians through effective scheduling, maintaining a balanced client schedule, and coaching the team on skill enhancement and efficiency improvements.
Recruiting and appropriately staffing the hospital.
Building partnerships with clients to ensure a positive experience for them and their pets.
Proactively addressing client concerns as they arise.
Representing the hospital in the community through participation in local events as needed.
Meeting and exceeding established business goals and objectives.
Managing P&L effectively, including appropriate oversight of costs and labor.
Requirements:
Previous experience in P&L management with a proven track record of achieving results and managing labor costs.
Experience in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting high-quality team members.
Excellent communication skills with a demonstrated ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
Conflict resolution skills.
Experience leading a diverse workforce and fostering a positive, collaborative team environment.
Experience in a customer-focused veterinary practice, hospital, or retail setting.
