As CMI continues to grow, we are seeking an Environmental Geoscience Associate to become a vital member of our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting Phase I/II environmental site evaluations
  • Perform routine fieldwork, including groundwater, soil, and vapor sampling
  • Conduct stormwater sampling (NPDES) and prepare EDMR reports
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of remediation systems
  • Create maps, figures, and data tables
  • Analyze and interpret analytical data
  • Support the preparation of various technical documentation
  • Engage with clients and subcontractors during site assessments

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Relevant and progressive work experience in the field
  • Capability to perform technical research and fieldwork
  • Experience with field sampling and monitoring tools (e.g., PID/FID, submersible pumps)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft technical reports and deliver effective training programs
  • Aptitude for training colleagues and presenting findings in small group settings
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Flexible hybrid work schedule

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geoscience, or a related scientific discipline is required
  • Certifications in relevant areas (HAZWOPER-40, TWIC, ASP, CSP, OHST, CHST) are preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capability to stoop, crawl, and bend
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs

Additional Requirements:

  • Background checks and potential drug screenings are required for this position
  • Overtime and flexible hours may be necessary based on project requirements
  • Residence within a reasonable commuting distance is expected
