Director of Development

This is a 12-month contract full-time position at Allen Community College. The Director of Development will plan, manage, and direct the College development program, coordinating fundraising with a focus on major gifts. The successful candidate will seek foundation, federal, corporate, and state grants to support the college's mission.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and manage the College development program
  • Coordinate fundraising efforts with a focus on major gifts
  • Seek foundation, federal, corporate, and state grants to support the college's mission
  • Maintain contact with donors and research potential donors to cultivate, request, and acknowledge their support
  • Organize and direct annual giving campaigns and events
  • Direct college alumni relations and public relations for the development area
  • Serve as liaison to and support the Endowment Association
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Demonstrated fundraising experience preferred
  • Sales and marketing experience a plus
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Valid driver's license
