Development Director

This is a 12-month contract full-time position at Allen Community College. The Director of Development will plan, manage, and direct the College development program, coordinating fundraising with a focus on major gifts. The successful candidate will seek foundation, federal, corporate, and state grants to support the college's mission.
Responsibilities:- Plan and manage the College development program
- Coordinate fundraising efforts with a focus on major gifts
- Seek foundation, federal, corporate, and state grants to support the college's mission
- Maintain contact with donors and research potential donors to cultivate, request, and acknowledge their support
- Organize and direct annual giving campaigns and events
- Direct college alumni relations and public relations for the development area
- Serve as liaison to and support the Endowment Association
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Demonstrated fundraising experience preferred
- Sales and marketing experience a plus
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
- Valid driver's license
