Business Sales Executive

The Business Sales Executive is responsible for business to business sales growth for an assigned territory within Kansas. This individual will work to secure new business while establishing and maintaining long-term business relationships with both new and current customer base. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, this outside sales position is salary plus commission. Individuals must be able and willing to travel to assigned territories in Kansas.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for new customer acquisition and account development.
  • Responsible for renewals to existing customers.
  • Manage day to day operations for all outside sales activities which include lead reports, sales funnel, and key communications.
  • Develop strategic business plan to prospect, qualify and close opportunities in market segments.
  • Remain in regular contact with your clients to understand and meet their needs
  • Responsible for service proposal generation, presentation, and follow-up.
  • Support and add value to existing customers through pro-active approach to Rate Plan Analysis’, customer service and resolving customer issues.
  • Work with retail stores to support small business accounts and sales initiatives including; prospecting, proposal generation, communications and negotiations.
  • Attend workshops, trade shows, and events to grow business and keep NGW connected with prospective customers.
  • Work with marketing to develop customer communications to use for direct mail, small business contacts, and email communications.
  • Create strategic plan to target industries at the appropriate time and execute that strategy with excellence.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Account Executive, or similar sales/customer service role
  • Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of CRM software (eg. Salesforce) is a plus
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills and ability to build relationships
  • Organizational and time-management skills
  • A business acumen
  • Enthusiastic and passionate
  • BSc or BA in business administration, sales or marketing
  • Experience in industry with sales and business development required.
  • Proven outside sales experience and account management
