Job Summary

Healthcare Staffing Plus is seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic imaging and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update clinical knowledge and skills to provide the highest level of patient care.
Participate in relevant continuing education programs to stay current with industry developments.
Utilize computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
Perform regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes.
Sterilize radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients.
Correctly interpret doctors' written scanning instructions.
Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
Explain scanning procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as required.

Requirements

BLS and ACLS certification.
National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification.
Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification.
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
The ability to stand for extended periods.
Strong technical skills.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Passionate about patient care.
Requires a minimum of two years of current Computed Tomography Technologist experience.
Graduate from a fully accredited CT Tech/Radiology Tech program.
Active unencumbered Computed Tomography Technologist state license.
One year of Epic experience.
COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster.

Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.

A can-do, team-oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
