Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver CDL Class A Solo to join our team at Ryder in Georgetown, KY. As a dedicated solo class A CDL truck driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to customers within a 465-mile radius in IN, TN, and KY.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Benefits
  • Weekly guarantee of $1255 per week
  • $0.555 per mile with 2500 miles per week
  • $16.00 per stop with stops per week
  • $7.50 per drop/hook
  • Sign-on bonus of $1000 at 30 days and $1000 at 90 days of employment
  • Shutdown bonus of $2000 in 2 installments in the first year
  • Safety bonus of up to $250 per quarter if applicable
  • Paid personal time off starts at day hours accrued in the first year
  • Medical, dental, vision start at 30 days

Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months experience within the past 3 years, 2 years experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years experience within the last 10 years
