Truck Driver CDL A Class Daily Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team at Ryder in Georgetown, KY. As a SOLO truck driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to customers in KY, TN, and IN.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Loading and unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
Benefits:
  • Weekly pay of $1255 or more
  • Solo miles pay: $0.555 per mile with 2400 miles per week
  • Solo stops pay: $16.00 per stop with stops per week
  • Drop and hook pay: $7.50 per drop/hook
  • Shutdown bonus: pays $2000 in first year
  • Sign on bonus: pays $1000 at 30 days and $1000 at 90 days
  • Safety bonus: pays $250 per quarter if applicable

Ryder offers a range of benefits to its employees, including uniforms and boot allowance, paid personal time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, and 401k rollover and contributions with company match at one year.
