Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist for Pediatric Patients

We are seeking a per diem Speech Language Pathologist with pediatric experience to work with Schenectady School District students enrolled in the Head Start Program and also help with pediatric patients at our outpatient clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to Schenectady area schools to treat children in a school setting with a flexible schedule of 8a-2p during the week.
- Develop comprehensive treatment programs by evaluating patients with cognitive linguistic disorders, communication disorders, dysphagia/swallowing disorders, and voice/respiratory disorders.
- Identify and refer patients for related services, including audiology, vocational, and medical services as appropriate.
- Assess patient rehab needs through the continuum of care and provide appropriate disposition, equipment, education, and treatment recommendations.
- Complete all documentation in accordance with professional, organizational, regulatory, and facility compliance standards.
- Participate in initiatives to improve quality of care, productivity, policies, and standards.
- Master's degree from an approved Speech Pathology Therapy program.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship.
- Current NYS Speech Pathologist license and registration.
- Certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a must.
- Flexibility, exceptional clinical reasoning skills, and excellent communication skills are essential.
The per diem rate for this position is $50/hour. Experience-based pay range for full-time and part-time positions is $47.60. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
