Job Opportunity

Scot Forge is a leading manufacturer of custom open die and rolled ring forgings, and we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Student Learner/Youth Apprenticeship Program participant.

Program Overview

The Student Learner/Youth Apprenticeship Program is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in various facets of the manufacturing industry. Participants will gain valuable knowledge and skills in industrial fields and the forging industry, with the opportunity to explore different departments, including Machine Shop, Tool Crib, Quality, Maintenance, and Heat Treat.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in efforts to establish and promote a safe and healthy work environment
  • Follow policies and procedures for accident prevention and quality feedback
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Act professionally and cooperate with others in a team setting

Requirements

  • High School Junior or Senior in good standing or recent High School graduate with a 2.5 GPA or better
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment safely and apply manufacturing knowledge
  • Successful completion of technical education courses is a plus
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all personnel

Working Conditions

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with exposure to heat, noise, and physical demands. The successful candidate must be able to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
