Job Overview

The ideal candidate will possess strong sales skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of success in the lighting industry. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with local specifiers, contractors, and electrical distributors, promoting agency-represented Luminaire and Controls solutions to commercial, industrial, and residential construction professionals.

A successful Account Manager will be able to drive project and stock opportunities, manage accounts effectively, and provide expert advice on lighting systems. The role also involves strategic planning, evaluating market conditions, training on lighting-related solutions, and marketing both product and service offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the lighting industry
  • Promote agency-represented Luminaire and Controls solutions to commercial, industrial, and residential construction professionals
  • Drive project and stock opportunities through effective account management and strategic planning
  • Provide expert advice on lighting systems to customers and stakeholders
  • Evaluate and communicate market conditions to ensure optimal business performance
  • Train on lighting-related solutions to enhance customer knowledge and adoption

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience in sales or account management within the lighting industry
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of success
  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills to drive business growth
  • Knowledge of lighting design programs (Visual or AGi32) is preferred
