Overview
As a **LVN Charge Nurse**, you will be instrumental in promoting the health and safety of residents by delivering exceptional care tailored to their individual physical, emotional, and psychological requirements as outlined in their care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular rounds to observe, evaluate, document, and communicate any changes in resident conditions.
- Ensure the execution of care plans as specified.
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and on time.
- Collaborate with physicians during rounds and maintain detailed records of their visits.
- Perform narcotic reconciliations during your shifts.
- Recognize and respond to significant changes in residents' health status.
- Supervise and support nursing aides in their duties.
- Initiate and complete reports for any incidents or accidents.
- Facilitate resident discharges in accordance with facility protocols.
- Complete Nursing Assessments prior to contacting physicians.
- Communicate effectively with residents' families as necessary.
- Engage in special projects or additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited LVN program.
Licensure Requirements
- Current and active Licensed Vocational Nurse status in Texas, in good standing.
Experience Requirements
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
